About NAP Photographer

WHO AM I ????

A little bit about myself, my name is Wayne and I have been a keen photographer for over 20 years. My passion for photography started when I was on my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award, hikes in the stunning Brecon Beacons and Lake District. Following this I took every opportunity to take photos of my family and then when my first nephew was born I stepped up a gear taking many photos of him.

After the birth of my daughter I then moved up another gear and took photos of literally everything, over 500 pictures in the first few weeks.  By the time my son was born I was well and truly hooked.

I have not been professionally trained but was lucky enough to  be asked to photograph two family weddings and then a friends wedding too.  It was after this that I gained more confidence in my work and was again asked to photograph another good friends wedding day.  It was at this that the name of 'Not a Professional Photographer' first was mentioned. I spent most of the day uttering the words 'I'm not a professional' and the groom joked that I should call myself Not a Professional Photographer. It was meant very much tongue in cheek but I decided that if I was going to do this more then maybe it would be a good name to use.

Since then I have done more weddings and have also photographed, Christenings, Childrens Birthday Parties and a Dance Show put on by the very talented girls and boys at Studio Six which include my two nieces.

As I have said I am only an amateur photographer and I am my own worst critic.

I hope that you like my work and appreciate any feedback.
